The Carriage House by Louisa Hall. Review

The story is told to us by almost all the characters in the book giving us a well rounded perspective on what was going on from different points of view. When a parents health declines it often effects their children's lives and this is what happens here. We get to see parts of William and Margaux's past and the decline of Margaux's health and William's subsequent relationship. Family and extended family dynamics are  at the forefront of this story as well as their ups and downs. This is a thought provoking story that at times was emotional, but ultimately a satisfying retelling of Jane Austen's Persuasion.

This book is due for release in July 2013 and will be available on lovereading.co.uk and other good bookshops then.
I was kindly given this for review by the good folks over at Lovereading.co.uk
